Company Description

Meridian Energy Group, Inc. is building the Davis Refinery, a 49,500 bpd high-conversion crude oil refinery, in Billings County, North Dakota, in the heart of the Bakken Formation. The Permit to Construct as a synthetic minor source was issued in June of 2018 by the North Dakota Department of Health. Meridian has initiated site preparation and grading at the Davis site and is proceeding with final design efforts. Meridian anticipates that work will resume in the field in May 2019, with foundations work and further construction activities. Full commercial operation of the Davis Refinery is expected in late 2020. Meridian is currently seeking expressions of interest from exploration and production firms to enter into long-term crude purchase agreements for supply of crude oil to the Davis Refinery.
