Company Description

This historic tea-house was opened by one of the early guiding families a few minutes from Lake Louise. Many of the architectural features from the original buildings have been restored including the original hand hewn log structure. All rooms have duvet comforters and most are furnished with antiques from the era. As a rustic mountain retreat, none of our rooms have televisions. Deer Lodge has one of the most exceptional dining rooms in the Canadian Rockies. The Mt. Fairview Dining Room offers an outstanding menu of Rocky Mountain Cuisine. It is well known for its extensive wine list. Deer Lodge is ideal for guests looking for a quiet retreat, excellent and innovative cuisine and attentive staff. Entertainment consists of quiet music, lectures about the area and walks with the Innkeeper. During the ski season, a free shuttle bus operates between one of the world’s great ski areas of Lake Louise and the Lodge.
